    A Tax Compliance Specialist is sought for the German Tax Department, which is located in Rüsselsheim. The German operations consist of two major entities organized in a tax group. Activities in Austria and Switzerland are organized either as a branch or as a stand-alone entity. The Tax Compliance Specialist will report locally to the Tax Manager for Germany, Switzerland & Austria and will work very closely with the finance teams in the German business.

    Responsibilities

    • Close liaison with local finance and operation staffs on all routine tax and tax accounting matters
    • The collation of relevant data and preparation of Corporate Income Tax returns including filing of E-Balance sheets
    • Validation of all the annual VAT return including calculation of the pro-rata Input-VAT allocation
    • Support of reconciliation of relevant Finance data for the ongoing tax reporting
    • Support and advise in all relevant WHT questions including questions by individual customer in regard to the Deposit Taking business
    • Filing of monthly Withholding Tax, supervising preparation of tax certificates and several reporting to the federal tax office
    • Calculation and validation of lump-sum wage tax of business events and advise in other Wage Tax related questions
    • Coordinating of special Tax projects

    Qualifications

    • Fluency in German and English
    • Knowledge of general Tax law and experience in WHT
    • Education: Diplomfinanzwirt(in) or Steuerfachwirt(in)/-angestellte(r) or Studium mit Schwerpunkt Steuern
    • Excellent organisation skills with an analytical approach
    • Able to communicate very strong
    • Professional education and experience (3 to 5 years)
    • Able to work well within a team, including European colleagues
    • Experience in SAP and in STOTAX favorable
