    About the Role

     

    The position of Finance IT Systems Analyst/Developer is to provide technical support on a variety of systems within the Finance, Securitisation and Treasury IT Programme.  The programme delivers rolling project and business as usual changes for applications including Moody’s ABS, FIS Quantum, Blackline and SAP to support the Treasury and Finance functions of the Business.

    Responsibilities

    Position Objectives

    • Design and implement technical solutions to deliver functional change to the business.
    • Analyse datasets to identify patterns in order to support the development of new functionality.
    • Monitor system implementations with a focus on stability and data quality. Continual improvement of these processes.  Investigating, identifying and resolving production issues.
    • Maintain system interfaces and customisations.
    • Execute system test activities and provide advice to test teams.
    • Resolve complex incidents including liaising with software vendor support desks.
    • Provide general system expert advice.
    • Participate and assist with governance and audit activities – such as user access reviews.
    • Liaise with other IT teams, central functions and Vendors.
    • Work with a variety of systems and tools included, but not limited to ABS, FIS Quantum, Blackline, SAP; using these tools: MS SQL, MS Excel, Notepad++, Crystal Reports.

    Qualifications

    About You

    • The ideal candidate will be technically confident and can demonstrate that they have designed technical solution, performed hands-on configuration work and preferably development work.
    • The candidate will be required to demonstrate they have led efforts to resolve more complex queries and incidents.
    • The candidate will be required to demonstrate a track record of delivering process and system change within IT change projects, ideally within the financial services industry.
    • The candidate will have a good university degree in a relevant subject such as Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
    • Awareness of the basics of accounting and of treasury or finance processes and practices (such as securitisation, money market dealing, journals and trial balance) will be welcome.

    • Ability to work autonomously – to self-define task and demonstrate effective time management that delivers desired priorities and objectives, working under broad project direction.
    • Takes a proactive ‘hands on’ approach and be adaptable in terms of style and activities undertaken, assisting colleagues at times of high workload.
    • Effective at working under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality outputs.
    • High level of self-motivation, flexibility, drive and personal commitment.
    • Ability to take ownership and be responsible for actions.
    • Transfer of technical knowledge and expertise to other employees.
    • Ability to travel from time to time as needed
