    Responsibilities

    In this value added role the local Application Specialist will work with the other Application Specialists around Europe, reporting to the Lead; the successful candidate will proactively support both Business partners and delivery teams in the various locations to maximize and increase growth opportunities. The primary purpose of this team is to support Business partners in bringing new products to market and to drive the release process to be more effective and ensure we gain best value from our core systems.

    • Actively work with the team to ensure consistency of approach across international markets.
    • As local interface for the team drive local process standardization championing business process excellence.
    • As technical expert impart knowledge and ensure the business is getting the best value out of the various OVF core applications (initially focusing on the Retail & Wholesale applications).
    • Activity works with the Business in bringing new products to the market across the key applications.
    • From an innovation perspective, as local expert ensure that the team remains ahead of  the curve aware of all products in the market existing and to come.
    • As key interface with the business leaders in their location ensure a thorough understanding of the OVF Unit’s particular business objectives and long term strategies including an awareness of the applications used by key competitors in the territory.
    • Ensure the continuous sharing of knowledge with both the Application Specialist team and key interfaces in their location.
    • Take responsibility for delivering ‘fit for purpose’ training where needed, ensuring any application related user guide documentation is updated and distributed properly.
    • For existing legacy systems ensure a thorough understanding of each and be able to conduct efficiency reviews/ feasibility studies in order to recommend adjustments to eliminate waste and maximize efficiency.
    • Supports the Lead to work with local IT managers on application specific initiatives in the markets that they are responsible for.
    • Supports the Lead to work with central project teams on strategic application projects in the local markets.
    • Supports the Lead to champion cross market initiatives relating to OVF’s strategic applications.
    • Alongside the team enthusiastically and consistently seeks to improve the way we use our strategic applications.

     

     

    Qualifications

    Essential:

    · Fluency in local language.

    · Relevant business / systems analysis experience.

    · Demonstrable stakeholder management experience

    · Degree level educated.

    · Fluency in English.

    · Availability to travel internationally for business purposes, potentially for extended periods (up to 1 month).

     

    Preferable:

    · Understanding of auto finance business processes.

     

    Skills &Knowledge

    · Ability to work in a standalone capacity and effectively with their remote team.

    · Detailed knowledge of process excellence methodologies.

    · Outstanding communication skills in both written and spoken form.

    · Outstanding customer relationship management skills and strong customer service focus.

    · Able to handle rapidly changing priorities whilst demonstrating the ability to remain calm under pressure.

    · Ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding IT initiatives.

    · Ability to communicate with senior business and vendor stakeholders.

    · Analytical thinking and superior problem solving skills.
